History

Coal Creek Golf Course was born out of a vision to expand a small city into a community where people want to be.  The original opening in 1990 occurred with much fanfare and excitement, making the Dick Phlep’s designed golf course one of the first public courses built in the expanding Front Range Region.  As noted recently in national publications, Louisville continues to be an extremely desirable place to live. Coal Creek Golf Course was redesigned as a result of flooding damage in 2013. The recent reinvention of Coal Creek Golf Course under the direction of architect Kevin Norby and Herfort Norby Golf Course Architects embrace the vision of expanding the scope of recreational excellence for the areas residents.  Reconstruction was completed in June 2015, making Coal Creek Colorado’s newest 25-year-old golf course.
