How do they do it? To achieve this every M5 and M6 driver head has been individually tested and injected with resin to reach the threshold of the the USGA’s COR (Coefficient of Restitution) limit of .830 as possible (any club with a COR measuring higher than .830 is ruled non-conforming). Normally, the tolerances in production and face polishing means that manufacturers have to leave a margin for error when making their faces and they "play it safe" with a range well below the limit to ensure they guarantee to stay within the rules. However, TaylorMade’s new production method is more precise and enables them ride the the edge of the COR limit so every single M5 and M6 driver are manufactured to provide maximum speed for all players including both Tour pros and weekend warriors.

There are four key features to the design of Speed Injected Twist Face that allow TaylorMade to maximise ballspeed;

1. Ultra-thin Titanium face with redesigned Inverted Cone Technology (ICT)
2. Reengineered, more-flexible Hammerhead 2.0 slot
3. Internal support foam with variable amounts of injected resin.
4. A proprietary algorithm to tune each head, which is inspected, measured and then tuned for maximum speed and to ensure conformity
