Most people will be surprised to hear that a green side bunker shot is the easiest shot in golf. Why? Because you don't have to actually hit the golf ball. All you have to do is miss the ball and finish your swing. Plus, you can miss the ball anywhere from 1/4 inch to 6 inches behind the ball for a great shot. The object is not to hit the ball, just move sand.
You can see the first line is where the ball was located and the second line to the left is where the club entered the sand, behind the ball. The ball went up nice and high, went the correct distance and left about a 10-footer for par.
So next time you are in the bunker, just make your normal full swing and hit the sand instead of the ball. Easy, right?
