Junior Golf

2019 Junior Golf Programs:

Cost: $100/person per session
About: A concentrated program to prep juniors to participate in the DCP Championship, a free nationwide junior golf development competition. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel. The four week program will feature concentrated efforts on the following:
     1.Driving distance and accuracy
     2.Chipping basics
     3.Control in putting 
     4.Preparing to succeed under pressure
Who: Boys and Girls 7-15

Session 1: 3 pm start time April 6,13,20,27
Session 2: 4 pm start time  May 4,11,18,25


                   The PGA Junior League (The “little league” of golf)

About: This team concept of junior golf has grown exponentially since its inception.  The goal is to field 4 teams of 10 players each creating 2 traveling teams and 2 teams to play home only matches. 
Who: Boys and Girls who are not yet age 14 by August 1, 2019.
Dates: The 2018 season starts All team practices begin May 3,10,17,24  Once School is out practices will occur on Tuesdays until matches start.   
The 4 team roster will be set at the end of May.
The league activities include:
      6 organized practices 
Traveling teams
      6 matches (3 at Coal Creek 3 at area golf courses within 12 miles of Coal Creek)
      Team shirts & caps
      Golf balls for matches
      Unlimited range balls for the junior during practice
      PGA instruction and guidance throughout from the Coal Creek Golf Staff
Home teams
      6 matches between home teams
      Team shirts
      Golf balls for matches
      Unlimited range balls for the juniors during practice
      PGA instruction and guidance throughout from the Coal Creek Golf Staff

                   The Junior Player Development Program

Cost: $600/person per session
This program is for the junior who is serious about improving their skills and lowering their scores.  
Any junior interested in competition and High School golf should consider a program of this type.  
The program includes:
  • Evaluation of golf equipment that fits strength and flexibility
  • A comprehensive and honest assessment of current skills.
  • A plan with metrics to enhance those skills through drills and play.
  • The 6 month program begins in April continues through September.
  • An evaluation of playing strengths and weaknesses with a plan for improvement
  • Club selection
  • Course management
  • Overcoming adversity
  • Repeating success

                   Coal Creek Junior Golf Schools

Youth Camp   Grades K-2nd  $ 20 per child
One day, 1 hour programs, limited to first 12 kids to apply.
Dates: June 3, 24  July 15, 22
Time: 8:00-9:00am
Rookie Camp   Grades 3rd to 6th  $ 195 per child
A three day, 2 hour program focusing on golf etiquette, fundamentals of putting, chipping and full swing.  
Open to the first 16 to apply.
Dates:  June 4-6   July 1-3
Time: 9:00-11:00am
Advance Camp   Grades 5th to 8th   $ 195 per child
A three day, 3 hour program focusing on advanced drills, short game, full swing, on course instruction.
Open to the first 16 to apply
Dates:  June 25-27; July 24-26
Time: 9:00am-12:00pm
PGA Junior Golf Camps
Coal Creek will be the host site for 4 additional camps.
