- Get your ball mark repair tool. (they are FREE in the golf shop!)
- Insert the ball mark repair tool at an angle along the edge of the depression.
- Lever the tool forward while slightly twisting it to push/pull the grass from the edge towards center of mark. (DO NOT try and lift the center of the depression back to the level of the surface, that will tear the roots and kill the grass)
- Tap down with your putter, admire your work and fix one more ball mark if you have time.
Unrepaired or improperly repaired ball marks are not only detrimental to course conditions but directly affect your experience on the course. Thank you for doing your part to keep the greens smooth and healthy for everyone.
Remember, only you can prevent ball marks!
