Help your child discover the game of a lifetime by attending a PGA Junior Golf Camp.  PGA Junior Golf Camps will foster your child’s love for golf whether they want to pick up a new skill or compete in tournament play.

This isn’t just any golf camp.  It’s a PGA Junior Golf Camp.

  • Learn from the best. Every camp is led by a certified PGA of America Professional who knows how to balance both fun and skill building with a low teacher-to-student ratio to promote development.
  • Fun, safe and educational. Full of action, discipline, and integrity, each camp has been designed to help your child grow both on and off the golf course.
  • From tee to green. Campers learn every aspect of the game, including instruction on full swing, short game, rules, and golf etiquette.
  • Camps that work for you. No matter your child’s ability, we’ve got a camp for them. For new/beginner to intermediate campers, we have half-day, full-day and modified full-day programs that feature small group instruction, course play (full day and modified full-day camps), and a low teacher to student ratio. Advanced juniors who are playing competitive golf and have a desire to learn detailed strategies toward improvement can participate in advanced, specialty, and competitive edge day camps.

David Baril comes to us from the Midwest where he has served as General Manager, Director of Golf, and Head Golf Professional in Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin. He is a 45-year PGA professional and an expert instructor, club fitter, and club builder. A good instructor offers clarity, direction, and an ability to communicate their knowledge to the golfer in terms that the golfer understands. Golf is a simple game made complicated by the fact that the majority of golfers work too hard mentally and physically to produce an unrealistic result. While I have instructed national champions, state champions, college golfers, and club champions, my most rewarding achievements in golf instruction are the hundreds of regular golfers whose faces light up when they learn that golf can be simple and fun. If there is a method to my instruction it is based upon a complete evaluation of your goals, your skills, your flexibility, and your golf equipment. Typically half of those criteria are not synchronized. I look forward to meeting you and aligning your wants and needs with the tools you already possess.

My objective in teaching the game of golf is to help my students improve their skills and develop their abilities. I feel that teaching the entire game is the key to improving scores.  At the end of the day that is what students want: to improve their scores.  I try and give most lessons on the course and in the short game area. The student will know and have an understanding of what will occur during the session.  To quote the great Ben Hogan, “Don’t simply tell a player what he is doing wrong – that’s not much help. You must explain to them what they ought to be doing, why it is correct, and the results it produces.”

Each student is unique and the methods I use fits the student’s area of learning.  Again making sure that the objectives of each player are met.  We have a goal to reach their objectives and help them enjoy the game better.

Grip, stance, posture and aim are stressed along with tempo.  Great tempo produces solid shots.

All instruction is tailored to the player’s personal goals, physical abilities/limitations, and knowledge of the game.

“I don’t simply teach you how to hit a golf ball. I coach you on how to play the game of golf.”

Pablo Mendoza is a Certified Golf Coach who has taught more than 350 lessons. After a successful career in banking, marketing and as a small business advisor, Pablo is now focusing his coaching/teaching acumen on his passion, helping people enjoy the game of golf.

Using time-tested techniques combined with some of the latest technology as a blue print for your first lesson, Pablo will provide feedback on:

  • Your swing - Let’s make it reliable and repeatable!
  • Your equipment - Is your equipment holding you back?
  • Course management - Making good decisions, make all the difference.
  • Your mental game – Pre and post shot self-talk is powerful (both positive and negative).

Here is what Pablo’s students have said about working with him:

"It was immediate to me that his knowledge and friendliness with no intimidation style coaching was what I was looking for. His great enthusiasm for the game definitely shows in his teaching. I highly recommend Pablo as an instructor for anyone, and any level of golfer." Brian A.

“When I met Pablo he spoke a language that related to me. He coached from the heart. He taught from experience and knew how to meter information – that created an unbelievable teaching experience. I knew early on I could trust him and have a banter that would allow for my instructions to be bespoke to my needs…" Erik P.

“I decided I wanted a new driver and with so many choices out there I sought out Pablo's help to get me fitted into the right driver. First, we analyzed grip and stance, then looked at ball spin rates. Pablo helped me understand the information in a sim and within 45 minutes I was adding 35 yards to my drive. Pablo put the numbers in simple terms for me and felt like the new grip and stance really helped my game. Driver is on order, looking to add more distance.” - Doug

Missy is a lifelong student of golf, having taken up the sport in the early 1980s. She believes in the power of applying knowledge through training and finds joy in teaching, often using storytelling as her method. Missy's extensive experience in the golf industry includes working as an assistant golf professional and leading instructor on Colorado's Front Range since the mid-2000s. She has also coached high school girls and boys teams, with her players achieving success at State Championships. Missy is currently pursuing LPGA Professionals Class A certification to further expand her expertise.

Driven by her passion for training, Missy obtained a Joint Ph.D. in Cognitive Science and Experimental Psychology, applying her knowledge in various roles such as user interface design and grant-based research. However, she realized that a complete understanding of learning and execution requires more than just academic research. To deepen her comprehension of physical learning and training, Missy studied Ki Aikido and earned a Black Belt in the mid-2010s.

In 2023, with five decades of golf and training experience, Missy joined Coal Creek Golf Course to continue her development. She welcomes students of all experience levels who are eager and open to learning and training together. If you wish to train with Missy, you can contact her by texting at 720.938.2186.
